Letterpress is a traditional form of printing, that has been in use since the 15th century. The presses I use in the studio are from the 1950s, and were a popular way to print items at home, such as letterheads, greeting cards and business cards. Here is a basic, quick run through of how all of the cards available from Wish You Were Here are created!

Step1: Choose a typeface and image.

Step 2: Create your design

Step 3: Choose ink colour.

Step 4: Prime the ink

Step 5: Ink up the press, put the design in the press, ink up, and then place the card in the press

Step 6: Print!

Step 7: Print the logo on the back

Step 8: Print as many as needed! I often only do 15 to 20 of each design.
